/data/sub-x/ses-y
This folder holds the data for one session, for the given participant. At a minimum it will hold a single data folder (e.g., at least one of anat, func, fmap, dwi).
The data is in a format ready for analysis; for MRI this is .nii (preferably zipped [.gz]) with necessary key timing information (events.tsv files).
- None of the raw data from the session of data acquisition goes here. That data goes within the sourcedata folder.
- None of the analyzed data from basic (e.g. orientation-correction) or more detailed (e.g., skull-stripping) preprocessing or modeling goes here. That data goes in a folder within derivatives (for us, the common derivatives folder titled pre-00).
We do not include the optional 'scans.tsv' file here, though that file can be used to include useful information about the contained data.
