tasks: Semantic Decision Making

This task requires the patient to listen to a string of animal names, and press a button if each is found in the US and used by people. The control is an active, matched task where strings of tones are presented and counted by the participant. Trails are 3s in duration, with blocks of 8 trials (24s). The full version of the task is available from Professor Binder, an abbreviated version here includes the first 48 stimuli used in their task (they include a further two task blocks). The full version has been validated to predict naming decline using a laterality index with temporal, parietal and frontal activity at p<0.001.
